SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Getting on their bikes for Action Against Cancer and beating the Big C!

TWO women will be cycling 50 miles around Somerset later this year in aid of charity.

Polly Worner and Gema Clothier will be getting on their bikes on June 14, 2015 to raise money for the Action Against Cancer organisation.

They will be cycling in memory of Polly’s mum Eileen who died of cancer a few years ago and also TV celebrity Lynda Bellingham who lost her life to the disease just before Christmas and was buried in Crewkerne.SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Getting on their bikes for Action Against Cancer and beating the Big C!

Polly, of South Petherton, said: “Cancer is an illness that unfortunately touches too many hearts today. Gema’s mum is a survivor of breast cancer which was discovered in 2012.

“We both felt the need to try and give something back to a charity so they can continue to carry out the vital research in order to beat the Big C.”

They chose to support Action Against Cancer in memory of Lynda as it was close to the heart of the former Loose Women star.

Lynda’s husband, Michael Pattemore, is also an ambassador of Action Against Cancer to ensure her memory lives on.

Gema said: “If you are able to donate to our sponsored bike ride, then please go on to our donations web page.

“We would like to thank everyone for their support.”
