SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Car crashes into wall

TWO elderly people were taken to hospital yesterday (Friday, February 13, 2015) after the car they were travelling in hit a wall in Crewkerne.

Firefighters from Crewkerne and Yeovil were mobilised to the scene in East Street, Crewkerne, at just before 4.45pm.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove a door of the car and worked alongside paramedics to release the casualties.

“Both casualties were transferred to hospital,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. “Crews made the vehicle safe and duty of care was left with police.”
