SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Four-vehicle crash at Castle Cary

EMERGENCY services were called out late last night (Wednesday, January 28, 2015) to deal with a four-vehicle road crash at Castle Cary.

Firefighters from Yeovil, Wincanton and Castle Cary attended the incident in South Street at just after 11pm where they found one male casualty trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Crews worked alongside ambulance paramedics in releasing the casualty with the use of hydraulic cutting equipment.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The casualty was then transported to hospital via ambulance.”
