YEOVIL NEWS: Student's animation becomes Facebook sensation
A TALENTED Yeovil College student has seen an animated video she has created become something of an overnight sensation on social networking Facebook.
Chloe May Leah Smith, who is studying an Art and Design Foundation Diploma, has put more than 400 drawings together to create Mending Animation – Pictorial Facial.
The video might only be 32-seconds long, but it has already been watched nearly 100,000 times in just five days by Facebook viewers.

Chloe said: “I have finally completed my first-ever animation – after laboring over 415 drawings!
“The animation shows the effects of bullying, media representations of the idea of perfection, and other forms of abuse such as domestic violence and self-harm which leads to a lack of confidence in your appearance.”
Chloe, 19, is in her third year of studies at Yeovil College having previously been a student at Preston School in Yeovil.
She hopes to continue her studying of animation and illustration at university later this year following her time at Yeovil College.
