CHRISTMAS 2014: Eden Project funds raised at fete
THE student support team at Westfield Academy in Yeovil have been raising money to part fund a multi-sensory literarcy trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall.
The team, consisting of students from Year 7-9, have been making Christmas items to sell since the start of December.
With tasty festive treats from handmade fudge to unique Christmas cards, the students raised more than £130 to put towards their trip to extend their literacy skills in the Spring term.
A Westfield spokesman said: “The students have worked incredibly hard and should feel very proud of themselves.”
