SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: People charged over Bruton hit and run death

A MAN and a woman have been charged in connection with the death of 84-year-old David Hick on October 14 in Bruton, Somerset. 

Mr Hick died after he was involved in a fail to stop road traffic incident in Cole Road. 

A 47-year-old man from Wincanton has been charged with causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving, failing  to stop at an incident, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and failing to report a road traffic collision.

A 31-year-old woman from Wincanton has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. 

The Crown Prosecution Service has advised that a second man, aged 38 from London, who was previously arrested as part of the police investigation, should be charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
