CHRISTMAS 2014: Festive fun on the Santa Specials!

AROUND 1,000 people are expected to visit the Santa Specials which are being held at the Yeovil Railway Centre in the run-up to Christmas.

The opening day of the Santa Special was held last Sunday (December 7, 2014) and people descended on the railway centre which is based at Yeovil Junction.

Further Santa Special days will be held this coming Sunday (December 14, 2014) and then again on Saturday, December 20, 2014; Sunday, December 21, 2014; and Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

The centre will be open from 10am to 4pm on each day and it will cost £8 per person in advance or £7.50 per person for parties of eight or more – if booked in advance. It will cost £10 per person on the day, subject to availability.

Visitors will be able to go on the Santa Special train, then visit the Transfer Shed which has been decked out in festive style and children will be able to go meet Father Christmas himself in his special Grotto.

There is also the café where people will be able to enjoy refreshments, while snow will fall to add to the festive experience.
