YEOVIL NEWS: Red Berry Recruitment need your animals treats for Christmas appeal

THE Yeovil-based Red Berry Recruitment firm is still looking for people to donate to its 2014 Christmas collection - items which can be used at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary.

The sanctuary, based near Chard, is open seven days a week and cares for more than 300 animals as well as helping to re-home cats, dogs and even horses.

Helen Lacey, of Red Berry, said: “This year we want to support Ferne by asking our clients and the general public to donate items that can be used by the sanctuary.”

The shopping list of goodies comprises toys and treats for rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, chipmunks and guinea pigs; cat and kitten food – chunks in jelly and biscuits; millet sprays, cuttlefish, treats, toys for aviary birds; treats for horses, treats for dogs; footballs for the pigs; large stiff broom heads for goats/pigs to scratch on; ewe nuts, pig nuts and goat mix.YEOVIL NEWS: Red Berry Recruitment need your animals treats for Christmas appeal

Ferne Animal Sanctuary launched its New Digs for Dogs £1m project for 2014-15 in March 2014 to build a new enhanced kennel block, improved grooming and veterinary care room, information hub, social unit, offices, reception and purpose-built rehoming centre at their site in Wambrook, near Chard.
