YEOVIL NEWS: Police appeal after motorbikes stolen

POLICE are appealing for help to track down motorbikes stolen from a showroom in Yeovil earlier this month.

The two bikes were stolen from showroom premises on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

The thieves smashed through the front window and damaged other stock to take two Slam Bikes pit bikes. Both are orange and black, one an MXR140, the other MXR70.YEOVIL NEWS: Police appeal after motorbikes stolen

It happened at about 10pm on September 13 at Morgan Motorcycles on the Lynx Trading Estate, Yeovil. Crime Scene Investigators have examined the scene and officers have been carrying out other enquiries.

PC Matt Lorimer said: “This burglary has obviously has a massive impact on this family firm. Not only have these thieves stolen two motorbikes, they have caused significant damage to the showroom and the other motorcycles in stock.

“Our investigations suggest that a Land Rover-type vehicle with a light-coloured canopy on the back was in the area at the time and I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises that vehicle description.

“I would ask anyone who has seen these bikes or who has any other information which could help our enquiries to contact me at the Priority Crime Team either online or by calling 101, quoting reference 95083/14.”

Alternatively phone Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
