YEOVIL NEWS: Kitchen fire at Stiby Road home

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this evening (Tuesday, September 23, 2014) to deal with an incident at a home in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just after 6pm to the property in Stiby Road and firefighters quickly forced entry into the smoke-logged home.

A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told the Yeovil Press that two fire engines from the town were mobilised.

“The fire was located and was confined to the oven," added the spokesman. "The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
