YEOVIL NEWS: Cooker fire at home

FIREFIGHTERS were called out after getting reports of a kitchen fire at a home in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised yesterday (Friday, September 19, 2014) at 5.15pm to the incident at a property in Rosebery Avenue.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman told the Yeovil Press: “Crews from Yeovil were mobilised and there was a small fire in the grill of a cooker, but was out on arrival.”

The spokesman added: “Fire crews gave fire safety advice to the occupier.”
