YEOVIL NEWS: Hospital looks for volunteers

YEOVIL District Hospital is holding an open recruitment event to expand its’ successful volunteer force.

The hospital is looking to recruit volunteers across different areas of the hospital.

The roles will include welcoming visitors to the hospital, providing company for patients on the wards and assisting at meal times, providing help in the Accident & Emergency Department or outpatient clinics, working in the League of Friends Shop, administration support and fundraising.YEOVIL NEWS: Hospital looks for volunteers

Volunteer Services co-ordinator, Lesley Burgess, said: “We are looking for individuals with a welcoming and helpful nature who can offer a listening ear and make a real difference for patients, visitors and staff at YeovilHospital.

“The hospital’s patient experience team, volunteer services co-ordinator and senior nurses will be present at the drop-in event for you to meet and ask any questions you have about volunteering at the hospital.

“We are very proud of our volunteer teams and the enormous contribution they make to the Trust.”
