SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: One man and a dog get rescued
FIREFIGHTERS were called out yesterday (Thursday, August 28, 2014) to help rescue a dog which had got stuck in a ditch behind some metal fencing.
The call for help was made just before 5.30pm in Langport and on arrival firefighters found that the dog had actually managed to get out of trouble with some assistance from a man.
But the man, who had rescued the dog, needed help in getting out of some water.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told the Yeovil Press: “We used a triple extension ladder to rescue the man who was not injured in any way.”
