SOMERSET NEWS: Combine harvester on fire

THREE fire engines were sent out this afternoon (Monday, August 18, 2014) following reports of a combine harvester on fire at a Somerset farm.

The alarm was raised at just before 5.30pm to Stud Farm in Curry Mallet and fire crews from Taunton were mobilised.

A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service told the Yeovil Press: “The vehicle sustained about 80 per cent fire damage and the cause was accidental.”
