YEOVIL NEWS: Driving instructor offers reward to find mindless vandals

A DRIVING instructor is offering a reward for information leading to the identification of mindless yobs who vandalised his car tonight (Sunday, August 17, 2014) in Yeovil meaning that two learners will be unable to take their scheduled tests tomorrow.

Adrian Dening, of Drive-Rite, was left furious when he discovered that vandals had smashed a side window of his learner-driver car which was set to be used tomorrow for tests.

Mr Dening, speaking on social media, said that a number of parked cars in Grove Avenue, Yeovil, were vandalised.

And he said: “It’s not funny as two of my pupils who have their tests tomorrow morning won’t be able to take them now.

“I won’t be able to work the rest of the day either – so that’s £124 lost in test fees which I will have to cover, while I’ll be down £120 on earnings and £124 excess on the insurance.”

Mr Dening said that one pupil – who will have to miss their test tomorrow – will be unlikely to be able to take the examination now before she returns to university.

“I will be offering a reward for information leading to identifying the persons who did this,” he said.
