YEOVIL NEWS: Driving lessons for children aged from 12

YOUNG people aged from 12 can get some driving lessons at Yeovil College with the 2nd 2 None Driving School.

Although legally you have to be aged 17 to drive on the road, driving instructors will be keen to help youngsters get behind the wheel from the age of 12 as long as they meet the minimum height requirements of 4ft 8ns tall. You don’t even need a provisional licence.

A 2nd 2 None Driving School spokesman said: “We offer young people the chance to come along and learn the basics of driving a car with the guidance of our fully qualified driving instructors.

“All sessions are sold as 60 minutes and are on a one pupil to one instructor basis, so no car sharing.”

Each pupil will also receive a course certificate for attending and while stocks last a 10% discount card on future sessions and hourly rate driving lessons when they turn 17.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch their children drive the car under the guidance of instructors.

Sessions are priced £42 each and start on Sunday, September 7, at Yeovil College from 10.30am.
