YEOVIL NEWS: Charities thank the Royal Marine Inn for its support

PUB-GOERS at the Royal Marine Inn in Yeovil have been given a massive thumbs-up from charities for all their support.

Only recently the pub presented a £1,715 cheque to St Margaret's Hospice – along with a cheque for a similar amount to Macmillan Cancer Support – and the fundraising continues.

Staff and customers took part in a charity bike ride earlier this month for St Margaret's and tonight (Saturday, August 16, 2014) are holding a fundraising Mr and Mrs style competition at the pub in Great Western Terrace.

A hospice spokesman said: “It’s been an amazing effort by the Royal Marine and a huge thank you from everyone at St Margaret’s.”

Macmillan Cancer Support has also thanked Royal Marine for its wonderful donation.
