SOMERSET NEWS: Two people cut out from M5 wreckage

TWO people had to be released from a vehicle following a crash on the M5 motorway in Somerset.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was mobilised at just after midday yesterday (Friday, June 27, 2014) after getting reports from police about a three-vehicle smash between Junctions 24-23 of the motorway.

Firefighters from Bridgwater and Taunton attended and they found two people trapped within one vehicle.

They used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the casualties who were left in the care of ambulance personnel.
