GLASTONBURY 2014: No light touch on drugs, warn police

POLICE officers have used social media to tell festival-goers that they will be taking no nonsense with anyone found with drugs.

The Glastonbury police have intimated that there is a “myth” among some festival-goers that they turn a blind eye to some drug offences at the festival.

But a police spokesman, speaking on their Glastonbury Twitter account, said: “Let’s dispel a myth. There is no light touch for drugs at #Glasto14.

“Don’t risk a conviction or worse. Don’t do drugs kids!!”

The message comes after the tragic news yesterday (Friday, June 27, 2014) that a 26-year-old man had died in hospital after apparently suffering an adverse reaction after allegedly taking the banned substance Ketamine at the Glastonbury Festival site the previous day.
