HOME FARM FEST 2014: Wow – what a day and night!

HOME FARM FEST 2014: Wow – what a day and night!

ORGANISERS of this year’s Home Farm Fest at Chilthorne Domer had their prayers answered yesterday (Saturday, June 7, 2014) when heavy overnight rain failed to dampen the spirits of festival-goers.

A massive thunder storm overnight Friday/Saturday may have made it an uncomfortable few hours for those camping at Home Farm, but come the start of musical proceedings yesterday the clouds had blown away and the sun was shining through.HOME FARM FEST 2014: Wow – what a day and night!

The crowds of festival-goers grew throughout the day as people – waiting to see what the weather was going to do – decided to come along and support the ninth Home Farm Fest which raises money for the Piers Simon Appeal and the School in a Bag initiative.

A fine array of musical talent was on offer on four different stages within the Home Farm site, while people were able to enjoy other attractions such as the Fun Zone inflatable activity centre and the various beer and cider tents and refreshment outlets.

The main Dutch Barn Stage rocked as the evening progressed with Apherium, Rise Above, The Room and Hundred Days before the culmination of the Saturday proceedings with the big band sound of DT8 who rocked the party!

The final day of the Home Farm Fest today (Sunday, June 8, 2014) started at 11am this morning and will go on until this afternoon with Crimson on Silver headlining between 3pm and 4pm.

Tickets cost £15. All proceeds will go towards helping disaster-stricken nations and orphaned and vulnerable children around the globe.
