SOMERSET NEWS: Man in court over child abduction charge

A MAN is to appear in court today (Monday, May 26, 2014) charged with abduction of a child.

Davinder Singh, 28, of Churchdown, Gloucestershire, will appear at Taunton Deane Magistrates Court today.

He has been charged with abduction, sexual activity with a child under the age of 18 and sexual grooming.

Singh was arrested in Great Western Way, Swindon, on Saturday (May 24, 2014) night while with a teenaged girl from Somerset.

The case is in connection with a 13-year-old girl who went missing from her Somerset home last week, but was found safe and well at the weekend.
