TWO elderly people were taken to hospital this afternoon (Thursday, May 22, 2014) with head injuries following a crash on the A303.

They were in a car which was in collision with a lorry on the busy A303 close to the turn-off for Yeovilton.

Firefighters from Yeovil and Somerton were mobilised at around 3.15pm, while a crew from Clyst St George were initially in attendance after passing the incident in a Fire Service vehicle. They stopped to give out first aid until back-up support arrived.
