Three vehicles involved in crash at West Coker

FIREFIGHTERS from Yeovil were called out early this morning (Friday, March 28, 2014) to deal with a three-vehicle collision at West Coker.

One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised to the incident along the main A30 through the village at 6.45am.

Firefighters discovered that everyone involved in the accident was free and clear of the vehicles.

The officers had to deal with smoke issuing and fuel leaking from one vehicle.

The road between Gooseacre Lane and Chinnock Hollow is currently closed. This will be updated when more news is available - 8.15am.

UPDATE - 9.40am: Road re-opened in both directions, but slow moving traffic due to recovery work.
