Medals stolen in hotel burglary

A NUMBER of medals have been stolen during a burglary at a hotel in Ilminster.

The burglary happened at the Shrubbery Hotel in Station Road between 6pm and 10pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014.

The dress medals are associated with the Rotary Club, Round Table and Masonic Lodge. They all had dark blue or light blue ribbons on them.

Money and cards were also stolen during the burglary.

Investigating officer, PC Russell Head, of Chard police, said: “These medals have great personal and sentimental value to the victim.

“If you have been offered medals for sale or if you have any information about this burglary, please call us.”
