Please park sensibly on the school run

PARENTS are being urged to park sensibly when they are dropping off or picking up their children from schools in Yeovil.

Children are returning to school this week after the Christmas holiday and once again the problems of parents parking erratically will come to the fore.

The latest school to have been having problems has been Oaklands Primary School off of Preston Grove.

A police spokesman said: “Parents have been parking on zig-zag yellow lines, pavements and across driveways during collection and drop-off times causing a number of safety issues for children on foot.”

PCSO Adam Goff spent time before the Christmas holidays to offer advice to parents about the issues.
