Workmen clear debris from Chinnock Hollow

WORKMEN were out earlier today (Sunday, January 5, 2014) trying to make Chinnock Hollow safe for motorists.

The bad weather has seen a number of landslips in Chinnock Hollow which is a popular and well-used shortcut used by motorists wanting to use back lanes into Yeovil from the A30 at East Chinnock.

Workmen were there this afternoon clearing away debris which had fallen into the narrow road.

Back in November 2012 a moving car was hit by a tree which fell in Chinnock Hollow.

Motorists are reminded to take extra care on all roads during the ongoing bad weather and to pay particular attention to any fallen trees or debris in the Chinnock Hollow.
