Take care on roads as floods cause chaos around Yeovil

MOTORISTS are being urged to take extra caution and to avoid major roads leading into Yeovil due to flooding problems.

There is flooding on the A37 Ilchester Road between Coppits Hill Lane and Church Street at Ilchester, while Newton Road in Yeovil has been closed between the Middle   Street junction in Yeovil to the Hooper’s Lane junction at Stoford.

There is flooding in other roads and villages around Yeovil and police are advising drivers not to ignore warning signs.
