Come Dine With Me - Part 2: Night of belching and sweating with Steve Carpenter

Come Dine With Me - Part 2: Night of belching and sweating with Steve Carpenter

ROUND Two of the Come Dine With Me experience from the Yeovil area tonight (Tuesday, December 3, 2013) saw former local radio station presenter Steve Carpenter take centre stage on TV.

Steve was hosting his dinner party and welcomed to his home PR girl Emmy Webster, businessman Alan Bunter, second-hand car salesman Andy Neil and forklift truck driver Mel Dunford.

Steve looked genuinely nervous for his big night and rival Andy Neil said he “looked flustered.”

Emmy Webster then noticed Steve sweating badly, while Alan Bunter had the unfortunate experience of finding a “tea-bag” in his main meal!

During the evening Steve revealed he had been married three times.Come Dine With Me - Part 2: Night of belching and sweating with Steve Carpenter

And Mel said: “I didn’t think he had it in him the old dog. Steve would be perfect for my mum.”

Emmy was slightly worried about Steve sweating and that some may have dripped off his forehead into the food.

“He was sweating so much it was dripping off of him,” she said.

There was a comical moment when there was a big discussion about the broccoli and Alan Bunter said he never realised there was such “magical mystique” associated with the vegetable.

And it was poor Alan who found the “tea bag” in his meal.

“I just don’t know how I missed it,” said a devastated Steve.

Not long later and Steve was “lambasted” further by his guests after belching at the dining table.

“I never do that,” he said – moments after burping.Come Dine With Me - Part 2: Night of belching and sweating with Steve Carpenter

While it should also be pointed out that Steve was pulled up over a little bit of “inappropriate innuendo” at the start of the evening.

No wonder Steve said at the end: “I’m a little bit disappointed.”

But it was not all bad for Steve as he scored 26 points out of 40 for his dinner hosting skills.

Each contestant marks their co-diners out of ten for their food and hosting skills and the person with the biggest score will win £1,000.

The next episode is tomorrow (Wednesday, December 4, 2013) at 5.30pm on Channel Four.
