Woman taken to hospital after car crash

ONE woman was cut free from a car following an incident on Bunford Lane in Yeovil this afternoon (Tuesday, November 19, 2013) after colliding with a lamp post.

The alarm was raised at just after 2.15pm and two fire engines and a rescue tender from Yeovil attended the scene.

A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews confirmed a single vehicle road traffic collision involving one car in collision with some lighting.

“One adult female was extricated from the vehicle by crews using hydraulic cutting equipment.”

The woman was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
