Dare to Dream if you are starting your own business

ARE you thinking about starting a business? Getting good advice at the start means that you can avoid pitfalls later on.

South Somerset District Council has teamed up with Somerset Business Agency and partners from across the county to deliver a free event to help anyone thinking about, planning or having just started a business in South Somerset.

The “Dare to Dream” Business and Enterprise Start-up Event is being held on Friday, October 18, at Chard Guildhall, Fore Street, Chard.

The event will run from 9.30am to 2.30pm and is open to anyone interested in starting up or growing their own business. You will talk to business professionals who can inform, inspire, motivate and help you realise your full potential. You will meet and network with like-minded individuals who can share their business knowledge and experience.

David Julian, economic development manager at South Somerset District Council, said: “The Dare to Dream event is supported by the council as part our commitment to providing dedicated support for new and established businesses.

"A range of business support organisations will be on hand to provide the most up to date advice including The Fredericks Foundation, Somerset Business Agency and Newsquest.”
