Town centre will be blooming marvellous!

THE annual Yeovil Flower and Gardeners’ Market will be taking place on Saturday (September 28) in the town centre.

This event – which will be held in and around Middle street – is organised by Yeovil Town Council with the support of South Somerset District Council and kind sponsorship of local garden centre, The Gardens Group – Brimsmore Garden Centre.

This year’s event will be even bigger and better and will include the first Yeovil Food Festival as well as the monthly Farmers’ Market.

Once again the town will be buzzing with excitement and free entertainment – including Buskfest – which will feature a number of talented local artists providing a wide mix of music at Busk Stops around the town centre.

This year there will be even more tasting, growing, painting and fun with different children’s activities which include Punch and Judy shows throughout the day, balloon modelling and a Living Human Statue.

All the usual favourites will be there too – a children’s workshop, stilt walker, face painting and the award-winning Yeovil Town Band.

The Yeovil Town Team will be holding its first Food Festival in the Quedam Shopping Centre from midday where there will be more food on sale along with an exciting 1-2-3 Cook competition.
