Thinking of medicine or nursing as career?

STUDENTS thinking of medicine as a career are invited to spend a day with members of the medical and nursing teams at upcoming careers events at Yeovil District Hospital.

On Saturday, October 19, between 9am and 4pm there will be a rare opportunity for the doctors of tomorrow to learn more about the variety of medical roles within the NHS and on Saturday, November 16, between 9am and 4pm there is an opportunity for the nurses of tomorrow to learn more about the variety of nursing roles within the NHS.

Medical and nursing students and members of staff will be on hand to meet those who attend and there will be plenty of advice on applying for a university place to study medicine and nursing, as well as opportunity to learn about simulated training.

The event will be held in the hospital’s Academy and lunch will be provided. It is aimed at students within Years 11-13 as well as mature students.Thinking of medicine or nursing as career?
