Don't miss out on a part-time course at Yeovil College

YEOVIL College is holding a part-time course enrolment event on Tuesday, September 10, for adults keen to fit their training around work and home commitments.

This year, Yeovil College is offering approximately 100 part-time and evening courses, ranging from beginners and short courses to degrees and professional qualifications.

Learners can pick from courses in areas including art, business, cookery, childcare, engineering, construction, hairdressing, beauty therapy, IT, sport and teacher training.

For the first time, courses in basic car maintenance are available, thanks to the addition of Yeovil College’s new Motor Vehicle Centre.Don't miss out on a part-time course at Yeovil College

Learners who are keen to brush up on English and Maths and did not get grade C at GCSE can take advantage of free training to help with their essential skills.

Staff will be on hand at the event to provide information, advice and guidance on courses, as well as answers to questions about funding and other aspects of College life.

The college's friendly Student and Customer Services Team will be available so learners can sign up for courses straight away and not miss out on the most popular courses.

Yeovil College vice principal Jayne Lewis said “People often worry about balancing work, home life and study, but we’ve listened to those concerns and aim to provide opportunities for everyone, no matter their situation.

"Not only do we offer flexibility, including part-time, evening, weekend and distance learning, we’ve also introduced pay-as-you-go options for our degree level courses so you can pay unit-by-unit.

"Learning is a lifelong activity that can help you progress at any stage, whether you want to improve your job prospects, take a new career direction, learn a new skill or simply enjoy the opportunity of meeting new people.  It is possible to balance work, home and training, so come to our part-time enrolment event to find out more.”

The Part-time Information and Enrolment Event is on Tuesday, September 10, from 4pm to 7.30pm at Yeovil College’s Mudford Road campus.
