Memory Walk in Yeovil for Alzheimer's Society

PEOPLE are being asked to put on their walking shoes and support the Yeovil Memory Walk on Saturday, September 21, in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

For the third year running Memory Walk 2013 will be held in partnership with Bupa Care Homes.

Together, Alzheimer’s Society and Bupa aim to support more people living with dementia through the vital funds that are raised.

Jill Lock, the South and East Somerset Services Manager from Alzheimer’s Society, said: “Memory Walk is a fantastic way to spend a morning. From a four-year-old to his 80-year-old gran and her dog, Memory Walk sees whole families coming together to fight dementia. Additionally an array of entertainment and refreshments will be available making it a lovely day out for everyone who takes part.”

Jill added: “There are over 9,000 people who have dementia in Somerset. Thanks to the support of Bupa Care Homes, Memory Walk is able to support more people living with dementia and their carers through the vital funds that are raised.”Memory Walk in Yeovil for Alzheimer's Society
