Youth rescued after getting stuck - up a tree!
FIREFIGHTERS were called out this evening (Wednesday, September 4, 2013) to help a youth who had got stuck up a tree!
The alarm was raised at just before 8pm and one fire engine from Somerton was called out to the Recreation Ground at Langport where they found a male youth stuck.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The youth was stuck about 20ft up the tree.”
Firefighters used a “triple extension” ladder to get the youth down.
The Fire Service spokesman was happy to report that the youth was unhurt.
