Woman has bike stolen after struggle in Yeovil
A WOMAN has had her bike stolen as she travelled home in Yeovil.
The victim was going home between 11.50pm and just after midnight last Friday to Saturday (August 2-3) and had to stop on Milford Road near to the footpath with Hillcrest Road.
A police spokesman said: “The victim, a woman in her 50s, was approached by a man who had a short conversation with her before grabbing her bike.”
After a short struggle the woman let go of her bike and it was ridden off in the direction of the old Milford Inn.
The bike is a Raleigh Tantrum, a purple and grey mountain bike with a faulty rear brake.
The police spokesman added: “The suspect has been described as a white man in his early 20s, 5ft 10ins tall with dark hair and a northern accent. He was wearing a blue top.”
