Blood donors wanted in Yeovil

NEW blood donors would be welcome when the NHS Blood and Transplant group holds sessions later this month at the Westland Leisure Complex in Yeovil.

Blood donor sessions will be held at the Westland in Westbourne Close, Yeovil, on Tuesday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 14, between 12.45pm and 3.15pm and then again from 4.45pm to 7.15pm.

Hospitals in England need around 7,000 units of blood every day to treat patients and blood stocks can dip in the summer.

Anyone aged between 17 to 65, weighing more than 7st 12lbs, and in general good health, could start to help save lives by becoming a blood donor.
