Do YOU want to put brakes on drivers in your street?

POLICE are looking for volunteers to help set up Community Speed Watch campaigns in the Yeovil area.Do YOU want to put brakes on drivers in your street?

CSW schemes help to improve road safety and deter speeding drivers right on YOUR own doorstep.

A police spokesman said: “Taking part gives people the chance to get actively involved with road safety in their local community.

“A Speed Watch can be set up in any village, small town, or urban area governed by either a 30mph or 40mph speed limit and consists of local residents who are willing to volunteer a small amount of time each week to monitor speeds with speed detection equipment.”

There are more than 100 CSW schemes running within Avon and Somerset.

If you feel a CSW scheme would help improve your area – contact your local Neighbourhood Police Team on 101 or go online at www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/general_enquiries/ .
