LibDems hope to hold Yeovil and Brympton divisions

THE Liberal Democrats will be looking to maintain control of Yeovil when voters go to the polls in the Somerset County Council elections on May 2?LibDems hope to hold Yeovil and Brympton divisions

The LibDems currently hold four divisions in Yeovil at County Hall which is controlled by the Conservatives.

Cllr Peter Gubbins will be looking to retain Yeovil Central and hold off the challenge of candidates David Byrne (Conservative), Alan Dimmick (UK Independence Party) and Terry Lavin (Labour).

Cllr Tony Lock will be hoping to do the same in Yeovil East and will come up against Paul Bradly (Conservative), Gordfrey Davey (UK Independence Party) and Sharon Stafford (Labour).

Terry Ledlie (Labour), Katy Limmer (Green), Tom Parsley (Conservative) and James Rouch (UK Independence Pary) will all be looking to seize control of Yeovil South from Cllr Dave Green, who currently holds the division for the LibDems.

The Yeovil West division will have a new representative at County Hall come the end of the May 2 election with Cllr Tim Carroll deciding not to stand for the LibDems.

Hoping to retain the division for the party will be Jane Lock, but she will come up against Martin Day (Green), Sue Pitman (Labour), Ashley Strelling (Conservative) and Tony Turner (UK Independence Party).

The LibDem group leader at County Hall, Cllr Sam Crabb, will be hoping to retain his spot on the council when hopes to win the Brympton division. He will come up against Dan Marks (Labour), Robert Pattemore (UK Independence Party) and Josh Williams (Conservative) when voters go to the polls on May 2.

BRYMPTON: Sam Crabb (LibDems)*; Dan Marks (Lab); Robert Leslie Pattemore (UKIP); Josh Williams (Con).

YEOVIL CENTRAL: David John Byrne (Con); Alan Ivor Dimmick (UKIP); Peter Gubbins (LibDems)*; Terry Lavin (Lab).

YEOVIL EAST: Paul Bradly (Con); Godfrey Davey (UKIP); Tony Lock (LibDems)*; Sharon Stafford (Lab).

YEOVIL SOUTH: Dave Greene (LibDems)*; Terry Ledlie (Lab); Katy Limmer (Green); Tom Parsley (Con); James Terence Rouch (UKIP).

YEOVIL WEST: Martin Charles William Day (Green); Jane Lock (LibDems); Sue Pitman (Lab); Ashley Owen Strelling (Con); Tony Turner (UKIP).
