TWO fire engines from Martock and another crew from Yeovil were mobilised this afternoon following reports of a road accident.

The alarm was raised at just before 1.30pm to the road between Stoke-sub-Hamdon and Martock and firefighters found one car on its side in a ditch.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ''All persons were free and clear of the vehicle once we had arrived the scene.

''Our officers made the vehicle safe and left the incident in the hands of the police and ambulance paramedics.''
