Zumbathon success for Flying Colours Appeal!

ZUMBA fitness fans headed for the Preston Sports Centre in Yeovil today (Saturday, Feb 23) for a sponsored Zumbathon in aid of the special care baby unit at Yeovil District Hospital.

The Flying Colours Appeal is trying to raise £500,000 for a bigger and better special care baby unit at the hospital with more space and privacy for families visiting their premature and sick babies.

The Zumbathon was held today from 10am to 2pm and was open to everyone and they could be sponsored for anything from one hour to all four.

The Flying Colours’ Sarah Cherry said she would like to thank all of the people who went along to Preston today for the Zumbathon.

The appeal’s next big fundraising event will be a charity abseil off of the roof of Yeovil District Hospital on Saturday, March 9.
