Girl, 15, assaulted in Yeovil

AN investigation has begun after a 15-year-old girl was assaulted in Yeovil.

The incident occurred at around 2pm on Sunday afternoon (February 3). The victim was with a friend walking along Earle Street when she was subjected to an assault.

The suspect is unknown to the victim and is described as a white man, in his late 30s, 5'6" to 5'8" all and with a slim build. He had a bald head, a black moustache. He was wearing a black leather jacket and straight leg black jeans.

A police spokesman said: "This has been reported to us and an investigation was immediately launched. Enquiries are being conducted to identify the person responsible and we would like to hear from anyone who saw this man acting suspiciously in the area, or recognises the description."
