Car gets stuck at Yeovilton
TWO fire engines from Yeovil and a specialist water rescue team from Bridgwater were called out after a car got stuck in flood water near Yeovilton early this morning.
The alarm was raised at just before 1.30am to a car stuck in about two-feet of water at Stockwitch Cross. Crews donned life jackets and escorted four people safely to dry land.
The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service would like to remind drivers to continue to use care when driving about in the bad weather and not to attempt to drive through flood water.
