Students can complete teacher training in Yeovil

THE University Centre Yeovil is delighted to announce that students will be able to complete important teacher training qualifications at the centre's campus in Preston Road.Students can complete teacher training in Yeovil

The centre has said that its new Postgraduate Certificate in Post-Compulsory Education and Training qualification has been validated by the University of Gloucestershire.

This means that from January 2013, students will be able to complete this important teacher training qualification locally in Yeovil.

The University of Gloucestershire already validates a number of courses at the University Centre, including the BA (Hons) English with History, the BA (Hons) History with English, the Foundation degree in Print and the Honours and Master’s degrees available in Personal & Professional Development.

It is one of the Centre’s four university partners, which also include BournemouthUniversity, the University of the West of England and Swansea Metropolitan University, each of which is responsible for validating courses studied there.

Dr Richard Foyle, head of the University Centre Yeovil, said: “The University Centre Yeovil is engaged in an ongoing programme of review and development which aims to increase the number and type of courses provided in line with demand.''
