TWO staff members from Grovelands care home in Yeovil has been shortlisted as finalists for the Great South West Care Awards.   Jodie and Charlene up for care awards

Staff member Jodie White has been nominated for the Care Newcomer Award and Charlene White has been nominated for the Dementia Carer Award.

They attended a judging day at The Mecure Holland House Hotel in Bristol last month, and will find out if they have won the award at a Gala Dinner at The Passenger Shed in Bristol on November 16.

Award winners will then be invited to attend the Great British Care Awards Gala Dinner at a prestigious central London venue next spring.

Jackie Howells, manager of Grovelands, which is situated in Grove Avenue, said: “I am so pleased that Jodie and Charlene have been shortlisted as finalists in this years’ Great South West Care Awards.

"They have both worked extremely hard to deliver high standards of care and support, ensuring that each resident is treated with respect and dignity.”

Grovelands is part of Somerset Care, one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare providers in Southern England.

The company provides over 39,000 hours of community care every week of the year to people in their own homes in fifteen local authority areas, and through their residential care services they operate 32 care homes which provide residential and nursing care for over 1,550 residents.
