Yeovil man feared dead in Egypt

THERE are fears that a Yeovil man has drowned while on holiday in Egypt.  

News agencies have released that Steve Cracknell, 46, of Yeovil, was on a family holiday in the Sharm el-Sheikh resort (pictured) when he went missing.   

The BBC has reported that the Foreign & Commonwealth Office has confirmed a British national is currently missing in the popular tourist destination.

"The initial search has now been called off,'' said a FOC spokesman. ''We are liaising with the local authorities and we are providing consular assistance to the family."
