YEOVIL NEWS: Man stabbed to death – three men in custody

THREE men are in police custody today (Sunday, July 15, 2018) following the death of a man in Yeovil.

Police were called to Great Western Terrace by the ambulance service at about 11.15pm on Saturday (July 14, 2018) where they found an ambulance crew dealing with a man with stab wounds in the stairwell of a block of flats.

A police spokesman, speaking on Sunday, said: “Sadly the man died at the scene. Officers believe him to be a local man in his 30s although formal identification has not yet taken place.

“Three men were arrested on suspicion of murder overnight and remain in police custody today.”

Great Western Terrace has currently been closed to allow Crime Scene Investigators to carry out a forensic examination and officers are grateful for the public’s patience and co-operation while this necessary work is completed.
