GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town through to Quarter-Finals of EFL Trophy

YEOVIL Town won through to the Quarter Finals of the EFL Trophy on Tuesday (January 9, 2018) night with a 2-0 victory over Forest Green Rovers at Huish Park.

The deadlock was broken early on when Nathan Smith netted after just three minutes, while Connor Smith made it 2-0 on 26 minutes.

Yeovil striker Francois Zoko came on as a second-half substitute to replace Jake Gray to make his 100th appearance for the Glovers.

The Glovers will now face either Fleetwood Town, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Chelsea Under-21s, Lincoln City and the winners of the ties between Oldham Athletic and Leicester City and Shrewsbury Town v Blackpool.

The draw for the Quarter-Finals of the EFL Trophy - sponsored by Checkatrade - will be made on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at around 7.15pm on the EFL Matters show broadcast on Sky Sports’ football channel.
