YEOVIL NEWS: Bacon and sausages sizzle for Mayor’s charity breakfast

THE Mayor of Yeovil has thanked everyone who supported his Big Breakfast charity event on Saturday (December 9, 2017) in the town centre.

Cllr Darren Shutler and the Mayoress, his wife Anna, and team of loyal supporters laid on a full English breakfast for diners at the Vicarage Street Methodist Church hall at the bottom of the Quedam Shopping Centre.

A succession of people took the opportunity to enjoy a specially-prepared cooked breakfast and a cuppa before going on to do some Christmas shopping in the town.

And the Mayor, Cllr Shutler, said: “I’m delighted to announce that the charity breakfast raised a grand total of £305.37 for my nominated charities.”

Cllr Shutler is supporting St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice and the School in a Bag charity for his Mayoral term of 2017-18.
