GLOVERS NEWS: Late goal wins it for Yeovil Town

A GOAL on 88 minutes by Yeovil Town striker Sam Surridge saw the Glovers finish top of their group in the EFL Trophy with a 2-1 success over Plymouth Argyle at Huish Park.

Ryan Taylor had given Argyle the lead on 16 minutes in the game on Tuesday (November 28, 2017) before Tom James levelled things up for the Glovers just after the hour mark.

It was then left to Surridge to net the winner for Yeovil on 88 minutes and to leave his team topping their group.

A crowd of 1,110 was at Huish Park for the match.
